Welcome to our women's growth cohort, a community where women can flourish by finding connection and support. We understand the importance of having a space to explore personal and professional growth, and we are dedicated to helping you on this journey.
Flourish Women’s cohort is a life-giving opportunity that sustains and empowers those who participate! It is an intensive 10-month long life and leadership team, based on the Townsend leadership Program (TLP) framework, that will accelerate your growth professionally and personally.
TLP is a way of taking a year for the purpose of intentional growth and change! This group coaching program is an accelerated vehicle for personal, relational and professional growth. Each group is made of 6-12 women from a variety of walks and yet each one will experience growth through their time within the group by sharing and listening to others experiences.
Research shows that as we grow in self-awareness (emotional intelligence) we will have increased access to skill sets and personal growth discoveries that help define us, our relationships, career and purpose-filled path in life. However, the skill of self-awareness is most powerful within the presence of others. We can't gain self-awareness on our own by absorbing content in books and podcasts or 'trying harder'. We need mentors and coaches and cohorts to gain this capacity. Just as working with a coach helps you grow individually, when the coaching experience becomes part of a group dynamic, the results are magnified and accelerated even more! Group coaching is quite an effective medium.
What do you get for that? Here is a breakdown:
Monthly Half Day Sessions – held on Mondays 4 PM – 9 PM. Dinner will be provided!
Check In and Review of Month: Each day starts off with a Wall Poster Sign-In referred to as the “Dashboard” where members are asked to track progress on their goals and connections with the team throughout the month. In a round table fashion, members take a turn to share how their month went – high’s and low’s and update on how they did and what was learned by engaging in their homework, reading assignment and stretch goals.
Training: Karen and Natalie, will deliver a 1 hour leadership training on a critical aspect of leadership and one’s personal life, strengths and challenges. All didactics are designed by Dr. John Townsend and address time-tested cutting edge concepts and skills where team members take notes, ask questions and interact with the material. Here are some representative topics:
Process Group: People of influence tend to live in a somewhat isolated world, or one surrounded by others who are dependent on them for vision, clarity and support. Many leaders have no context in which they interact personally with other high-capacity individuals who understand their experiences, and who can help them navigate life Process Group is a supportive, safe and confidential group setting in which the leaders can unpack themselves, their work and personal challenges, and get input, clarity and solutions from Dr. Bergstrom personally, as well as from the group.
Work Group: This is a session in which team members will present a key issue they are facing in their business or personal life. It is a technical part of the day. Members can present in the form of a PowerPoint, a handout, a flip chart, or any number of modalities. The member will go over targeted strengths, weaknesses, obstacles and threats. Once the presentation has been made, the team provides clarifying questions and recommendations for increased levels of professional or personal functioning and problem solving. This is a high value time, because of the varied experience bases and perspectives of the team members. Each member will have two opportunities to present during the year.
Stretch Goals and Homework: This is a key aspect of the program that takes place during the last 45 minutes of the day. Business leaders are busy people, and there is a tendency to leave a setting, and let life and its demands take over. This reduces the effectiveness of any training experience. To counter this tendency, each team member will craft a homework assignment tailored to his or her situation. The accountability of the homework helps break up the inertia of the month, and provides actionable items that continue the growth and development process.
